To be honest, I am probably more attatched to my mom than what is normally healthy for my age. I mean....I am almost 20 and I still sneak into her bed at morning. (When I am home, of course.) But on the other hand, my brother is 14 and he does the same thing too....so maybe the reason is with my mom?Anyways, I was a rather difficult child growing up. I never smiled in any of my pictures from age 4-12; I was too well versed in the burial practices of Egyptian pharaohs and medieval torture devices. I admire my mom for putting up with me and loving me no matter who I am and what I did, even if it goes against her beliefs. As I grew older, I realize that not everybody had the privileged of having such an awesome mother.
(P.S this is the first picture I drew after my computer broke down a couple days ago, gotta draw something heartwarming to heal my heart.)

this is shown on the mix of modern color contrast choices; bright red and black with Egyptian eyes, and scribbles, which makes you think critically and scitsofraniclly

.Considering the amount effort she put in me, it is impossible for us not to have a good relationship. To be honest, I don't know if I can treat my own kids the same way she treats me =-=

I'm considering being blunt or sugar-coating it. I'd rather be blunt. It would be nice to say that, with such an excellent example to follow, you couldn't possibly screw up. however, you are your own person. You will do things your own way, even if you model your parenting style after you mother's. However, your mother will hopefully be there to help you out and give you some advice, when the need arises. Seeing as you are conscious about those potential problems, you probably won't fair too horribly.
The problems with my mother stem from both ends, though I am probably the greater contributor. A parent can't be expected to ever fully understand their child. I'm sure if you make an effort at it, you'll cope, if not excel.

It is really really really worth listening to! And even though the lyrical hero of that song doesn't say anything about being troubled by her own imagination, rather by the things that may await us in life, but the feeling of the comforting presence of her parents… It's just like in your picture!

Heard it. I personally like the dutch version better. Too bad I can't understand Dutch. The english one was good too, but less to my taste. Funny how the original one always tend to be the one that is better.
I definitely feel that it is a rather comforting song. As tough as we try to be in order to brave the world, we definitely need a refuge sometimes. Currently, I am trying to place my complete confidence and trust in God and make him my refuge. I think I am getting there.
Oh, and I also listened to Until by Sting. So romantic!

As for me, I actually don't like the English version at all (less soul, more voice), I added it because of the translation. I mean, for you to understand the words. Btw this is not the original, it's a cover by Sterre. You may find the original on YouTube, it's very nice,too!

About this song… Now that you mentioned it, it somehow does remind a prayer. But there is one thing that makes me feel it is a song aimed towards people : does God need us as a support, too? "Cause if I can be with you, you can be with me, too; come to me whenever you want, there always will be a free room for you." Yeah, and in Dutch, "jou" means "you" as plural pronoun, not single.
