I like these warmer colors (a personal preference) but they feel almost a tad bit over saturated to me...do you remember what the background color truly was? Grey or tan? That might be a better guiding color than the colors of the wings...lovely butterfly for sure!

The floor was kind of an off white, so I think your right, maybe somewhere in between would be a better choice.
