(Update again: I added beads to her shoes and made some lines a lot smoother)(Update; added a few more details and some texture, hope it's better
)So yeah I got swept up in Spider-verse fever as after seeing the movie. So I wanted to redesign Kimiko’s costume cause the first design looked too much like spider Gwen. So I looked at other people’s spider-sonas and it gave me some ideas as well as Kimiko’s Japanese Heritage. Yes, there still are some Spider Gwen features like the hood and shoes but I’m really happy with it. Also a big shout out to CuriousCucumber for her pose studies, I used them as a reference and it helped me out greatly. I’m also happy with how the spider skull turned out. Added bonus first completed drawing of 2019!!!!

Awww, thank you, I was struggling a bit with her new costume but after seeing other people's spider-sonas, there were a lot of awesome designs and gave me so many ideas too. Also, I kept the belt and web stomach from her first concept and added some flair.

Oh yeah especially when it comes to a franchise like Spider-man. Where the costumes can be in all shapes, sizes, and color, it still had to have some relations TO spiderman, like the eyes of the mask, webbing, and some sort of symbol.

Yeah, which I was very surprised to see a lot of spider-sonas having hoods, hoodies, or cloaks. I think Mile's Spiderman costume in the trailer really inspired people, along with spider Gwen. Also, side rant the kabuki mask details with the spiderman eyes gave me a pretty hard time, at first cause I made them TOO THICC.

Yes, I was drawing them while I was watching an artist's stream (TheGeckoNinja) and he was playing one of the intros of My Hero Academia www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1YojY… the idea soon hit me like a 100% hit from All Might to try and make the eyes bigger and the red details smaller, and it was awesome!

Yeah, Who knew MHA intro actually helped me with my art. The patch on her gloves are actually slits for her stingers. Like you know how Wolverine's claws comes out of his knuckles, her stingers come out of the back of her hand and are laced with venom, it's not powerful enough to kill anyone but just makes them hallucinate, the potency of the venom depends on her adrenaline.

The venom isn't on her knuckles, it's on her stingers that comes out from the back of her hand Kinda like Scarlett Spider only not in the wrists.

Thanks, I was gonna make her a giant mix of her races but then I realized it was overwhelming, so the shoe is apart of her African heritage and the mask is based on Kabuki makeup. I also decided on just having her be half African and half Japanese. Makes her a lot more interesting.

Yeah I struggled to try and think of something to put on her crop top hoodie, I was thinking of spider symbols, flowers, poisons symbols til it hit me; Spider Skull! I know spiders don't have actual skeletons but I had to try, I used the skull on my Fursona's hoodie as a base and added spider details and it came out great.
