When I see this picture it remeinds me of how we can view, and imagine the endless wonders of eternity, but can't really experience them. I think the retaining wall of the balcony does this for me.

I agree with your take on it - Yes the retaining wall and the noticable door and hinge give it a two sided interpretation - either the depressing side that even thou opportunities abound we closes are self off to many and close to live in our little corner of the world

Love love love this, but seeing as everyone else only said good things I might as well criticze one thing: above the door frame there's some brown wall, or whatever it is showing. stock to the frame- it works so well, as D said, beautiful contrast, the brown or shadow or whatever it is on top takes it away.

I totally agree about the brown, I wasn't sure to leave it or not because I thought perhaps if it was only the door frame it might get a little lost, but i the more I think about it the more I think to change it

Before I even read the title I called it, in my mind "Doorway To Eternity"...and there you have it. Just beautiful...looks so peaceful and I could feel the breeze in the air. Good eye!
I cannot wait to see your other photographs, I realized we forgot to do this after our dinner today. Next time I come over I MUST see them! I cannot wait!!! If they're anything like this I will die, but not before killing you in a jealous rage.
