Description
FINALLY after more than four years as a fractalist I buckled down, with the help of tutorials and other folks' params, to teach myself -- masking. Oranges and Plums is my very first effort. It was made in Ultra Fractal and has on each layer at least one formula from Otto Magus' DIET TRAPS. The three bottom-most layers are not included in this fractal's composition but are included in the parameters as REFERENCE ONLY so I can remember my starting points.

There were not as many entries as usual for this one as I think a few people are on holiday right now.
I will begin putting together a texture pack and update you in a few days when it's available for you to download and use.
July 2018 Thin Challenge
"A Thin Challenge?" I hear you say. Well this is not a fat-shaming exercise, heh heh, I'm sure your curvy fractals are just lovely! No, your task this month is to explore and make creative use of the Thin Orbit Traps style of colourings. These are wonderful colouring formulas that can either be used by themselves or to add delicate detail to your fractal creations. They are quite versatile and very useful in many situations.
There are three of these colourings to choose from:
