look through the window at the snowy weather
for long now I've left you alone

the frost that settles in my still chest
I walk out in this world with a constant pest
the cold not from natural means
deep in my soul it quietly intervenes
twisting away any sense of purpose
exposing all of my weakness
so bare I feel with no thoughts that guide

I wished only to see you glance at me
through all that mite or mite not be
