i have something of similar "quality" in my shelf and whenever i feel uninspired or worse - untalented (we artists all know those phases when everything we start drawing looks just like crap no matter how we look at it) i have a look at it

I know how you feel dude. Just about every birthday someone gives me a "How to Draw Anime, Manga, Creatures, etc." and when I look to check it out it's ethier terrible or there's nothing I'd ever draw. It's just easier to learn on my own, use actual manga and anime as guides, or just get tips from senior/fellow artists. Like you. Love your art still and glad to see more "Aww Dude". ^u^
