If you read carefully he says that he won't ask for help from old man zangetsu anymore and he won't push away the hollow zangetsu anymore.. After this scene he says thank you for zangetsu is me(ichigo). So i think he meant that he won't treat them as another person because they are part of himself and therefore since they're part of him his fighting alone?
Alone=1 person=ichigo+old man zangetsu+ hollow zangetsu
I'm sorry if i'm not making sense.. But this is how i viewed the chapter and it might be wrong..
