Description Young Jen and his uru master, who is apparently teaching him about red sand today. My parents never wanted me to watch this movie as a kid - because they thought it was scary, I guess. So I sneaked it in bits and pieces whenever I could!

Jen and the Uru are from Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal

Card is 2.5 x 3.5 in. bristol, inked with multiliners and microns, and colored with markers.

Awwwwww, this is so sweet! I just went and bought the DVD of this movie a few days ago, so I could finally screencap it (just for personal fun). I've only watched it once before this, many years ago, so I'm really looking forward to getting to see it again. Best I remember, the flashbacks of Jen and his master were my very favorite things about this movie, they were so utterly precious... oh dear, I'm literally tearing up again as I write this... anyways, great picture.

Awesome card, I absolutely love the Dark Crystal!
I still remember seeing it when I was a kid, great memories of spilling soda all over my little brother when Fizzgig jumps out of the hole and scares Jen! (and me as well!)

I love Labyrinth as well, Jim Henson had a fantastic imagination

Haha! Awww, soda bath. XD Yeah! I actually didn't know until just recently that Henson worked with Brian Froud (who illustrates fairy creatures) on the designs! So neat! :3

O yeah, I love Brian Froud.
I have several of his books. One of the best fantasy artists out there. He was instrumental in establishing the final look and feel of both the Dark Crystal and later Labyrinth.

Thanks! I use a mix of Copic and Prismacolor markers on my cards. I'm in the process of slowly acquiring more Copics because I really like the way their brush tips work

This is so detailed the faaces are drawn really nicely, especially that of the teacher, and the colouring is absolutely gorgeous. I'm impressed you could get so much detail into such a tiny card! Fabulous work

Thank you so much! :3 Really, the movie is bizarre! Most people who didn't see Dark Crystal when they were younger don't like it, but those who saw it at a young age love it to this day. (The same with Labyrinth - I didn't see it until I was older, and it has no special place in my heart like Dark Crystal does.)

BTW, I am finally free to do some carving on the Jesus image and will begin tomorrow and will hopefully get it painted before the week is over. This is the holiday season after all and I can barely find time to breath much less think!
