Description
Another 'waiting for the Dark' style picture, from my own imaginings of what happened to the Cobras before each of their little deaths. At this point, The Pain has left the night before in pursuit of Ocelot, with the affirmation that he won't come back. The Fear is in pieces, stuck by himself, and eventually bumps into The Fury. The two drink and talk, trying to disregard what's coming...buuut with limited success. The Fear has lost his better-than-best friend, and The Fury is dwelling on his own past, and what happened between himself, The Boss and The Sorrow. Oh, the drama! X3One for Fear fans and Fury fans! Obviously The Fury is in totally casual (dirty) gear, as seen in an older picture, and The Fear is partially in his camo, but with no straps attached. More emotional stuff. And The Fury looking UPSET and SUPPORTIVE for once? Nyaah! It's a split-second of sympathy, but I caught him in the act. ^_^

As for The Fury being burned, of course he would be incredibly scarred all over, being burned up on re-entry to the atmosphere in a poorly-built Russian spacecraft. I draw him as less burned than he would probably be, because not only is he based on a real person that I know (I like to keep the resemblance in little ways, by giving him hair and stubble that still exists), but when I was doing my first doodles of The Fury, I simulated my first impression of his burns with cross-hatching. I thought if I gave him all over burns, it might look tasteless, or like I was exploiting his injuries for my picture. So when I started colouring him in pictures, I gave him patches of burning, which are partly random and partly concentrated on areas that would have been the most exposed to burns on re-entry. I'm sure you don't make him look too burnt, because we only ever get to see a little part of his face in the game, the rest of him could be as burned or un-burned as you like.
Sorry, that was an over-long explanation. ^_^ Long story short, I make excuses for why his burns are to this degree in my interpretation. Yours is far more dramatic and moving, because he must have had less scope for recovery. ;_;

you're burn technique is very good though ^_^ it looks very much like what my arms and stomach have looked like on different occasions, only one third degree burn though most only large scale second degree and thank you very much, I'm working on another pic right now of Fury in the hospital, bart of him uncovered to allow the skin some time to heal and whatnot naturally, my mom did that to me when I accidentally boiled the skin of my stomach, it hurt a lot, well I don't mind long, it's very nice to hear what you have to say ^_^

Good Heavens, that accident of yours sounds like it was awful. You poor thing! -hug- You must have been in such pain. Your personal experience of that pain (though not all over, like The Fury in outer space!) has an effect on how emotive your pictures of him are, though. A little something that other people can't express the same way. I can't wait to see the new one, I bet it'll be great. ^_^
And thanks for appreciating my rambling. XD I tend to go on and on because I've written all those novels. Glad it makes sense when I try to express myself. =3

My books are the Grenamoya Island Saga, the first two that were printed are Out of Ashes and The Chosen Four. Copies still float around on the web, but I had so many issues with my publishers (they even mangled my front cover art and made it all blurry), I want to track them all down one day and destroy them. XD It'll be a huge improvement whenever I can republish, it's just a matter of time and money unfortunately. I wish I had an editor who appreciated my work that much! I should track your stuff down to show support. ^_^ Let me know if you decide to write that fifth book.

oh I will, I don't find Kessha to be an interesting enough main character, he's fascinating as a side character though, any time you feel like reading a bit I'll e-mail you some of it sometime, sometimes I wish she'd just let me be though, says I really shouldn't publish until I'm older so it doesn't like draw negative attention as my books are very graphic in several ways and on many occasions the amount of description and the near intimacy of the crimes has caused the poor woman to wretch if not just a little

Wow, that sounds interesting. It must be different to have an editor! Whenever you get down to actually publishing it (even if she makes you wait) I hope you get the attention you deserve! ^_^ My first drafts that were used for printing the first two books were rough and a little more graphic, I toned down all the swearing and some of the references in the versions I'm ready to re-print. I
'm glad of it too, because the professional reader who went over my manuscript recommended it, and I've recently been informed of a twelve year old girl who really loved my first book, so it boosted my confidence a bit. =3 If she didn't mind the roughest version ever in the world, then things can only get better. XD

I fully intend to do Sorrowy pictures. 8D He practically meets every Cobra prior to their deaths in my little idea (except The Boss, who can't see him), so no doubt he'll feature if I keep doing pre-death pictures. =3

Hmm, yes...-flips through many pages of notebook- In many cases, Sorrowmania is completely incurable, especially when the subject is already so obsessed with The Sorrow. However, you can minimise its negative effects by taking daily, manageable doses of The Sorrow, ideally in the form of artwork, screenshots or other exposure to his Sorrow-ness. X3
