The cat is exellent. I love this whole thing. Colours are vibrant, the expression is priceless. What a spoiled little kitty. Hehe

Thanks! That was a bad kitty right up until the end of the piece. Finally came together at the last minute.

I’m loving the way you did the cat- you always do the coolest eyes, and my, what splendid fur texture!
I really love the use of color here, especially all the reds and teals/greens- they really complement each other well. Those butterflies are absolutely gorgeous!
I also adore the architecture and the β€œtowering” effect it has over the lower subjects.
You have an incredible way of creating lifelike textures- the stone just blows me away.
Beautiful!

Thanks! It was weird to work with acrylics. The fur was way harder than with oils.

This is so awesome! You handle different textures extremley well, like the marble, fur, and stone building. I just love how the patterns on the butterflys mirror the tower behind them and the cat has a lot of character

Be very Proud of this One

Very nice painting... Very interresting.. though I don't really understand what you meant by it. What is its significance?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AmyKollarAnderson In reply to InTheWolfEye [2005-09-20 00:03:08 +0000 UTC]

It was commisioned by a friend as a gift for his fiance/wife on their wedding day. He told me the stuff they liked and I mixed it together for that piece. I can see how the title can be kinda confusing out of context.
