Description Hey everyone.

SO something a little different to my normal stuff! But then again I'm never too clear as to what my normal stuff is..

This is a drawing I did as a gift for my art teacher. I've finished school now, and the next three weeks I have my final exams. So this was a little something to say thank you for being so supportive and inspirational over the past few years. He's the one who really pushed me with my abilities and helped me develop confidence.

It's a drawing of HIS Harley Davidson.

Thanks for looking!

oh my GOSH. the engine bits....ahhhh. don't ever draw a motorbike!!

Well, I faved it once. I'll fave it again. I'm back after a year. Had To throw a "1" in front of "disodude." Couldn't get my old name back. So starting over as "1disodude." I'm curious... did you ever try anything with the ball point ink pen? Just wondering.

Thanks hey! Aw that's a shame. :/
I'm afraid I didn't try something no! I definitely still want to and will get around to it one day! Most definitely, just haven't done so yet! I've got a few drawings coming up soon though. I"m afraid I've been quite absent from dA this past year or so! Life has just been what it is, which happens sometimes. Hopefully I'll be a bit more active though!
Good to hear from you!

I remembered you from last year. Then ran across your motorcycle drawing again. I was JUST as impressed this time seeing it as I was last year. You are TRUELY a gifted & talented artist, whether you try the ink pen or not. Enough so that I am SURE you can excel at ANY medium that you try. Although the ink pen is MY personal favorite, that's why I am so curious and excited to see what you could do with it. But more importantly just don't ever walk away from it, whatever medium you choose... You have the potential to be a GREAT artist. Stay with it! Always remember, "It only takes 10% talent, but 90% acquired knowledge to become a great artist." Carry on...

Ohhh thank you! That is so very encouraging and just lovely of you to say! I definitely want to try out as many mediums as I can, even if I'm slowly getting there! I definitely will give pen a try one day though. Have you seen those beautiful landscapes drawn in different coloured pens?? They are just incredible. I can't find where I saw them...
But thank you SO much! I will definitely remember that

You did a really good job on this. Excellent shading & depth, as well as proportions. Beautiful work! But here's a challenge for ya... Try doing one in ballpoint ink pen. I can tell you got the talent. For sure! - BUT - Do you have the patients ??? I've done over 20. I use cheap Bic, Paper-mate, "Click" pens. Any kind of ballpoint. Some I've used ( very sparingly ) pencil & colored pencil. But like I said "very sparingly." On 16"x20" 100# cardstock paper. I got roughly 70 to 80 hours in each IF you count the thinking & re-thinking time envolved. I've never challenged anyone to do this before, but something just tells me you may be up to it. You may be too busy right now. But keep it in the back of your mind. I think it"ll eat at ya. And when you do exept my challenge you will do an exellent job, I'm sure! - I've got some of mine in my gallery if you'ld like to take a look. Again... I don't know why I'm doing this... Just something in my gut as I looked at your work & it said YOU are the one. Call me crazy??? I dunno. But I've done my part... Kick it around.

Wow! Thank you! It means a lot that you think I have the talent to attempt something like this in ballpoint pen!! I've always wanted to do something with pen actually, just never got around to doing it. Your works are absolutely mind blowing. The maximum amount of hours I've ever spent on something is about 20-25, so 70-80 is heaps! My average is 16 hours.
I'll definitely attempt ballpoint pen when I have the time. Thanks for the encouragement!!

Thank you for the compliment... And yes I AM trying to encourage you to try this, but more so trying to INSPIRE you! I truely believe you SHOULD! Everything I've learnt has been self taught by trial and error (at least with ink-pen.) And I have a few tips I would be willing to share with you "if" & whenever you decide to start this endevor. Like I said before, I'm not quite sure why I have challenged you to do this. Something in your pencil drawing practically spoke to me. That's never happened to me before. And yes, I think it's odd as I am sure you do. But THAT's the reason I've thrown this out to you. You can email me directly at "disodude@gmail.com" if you ever need help with this. I am NOT an art professor or even a student. I am an unemployed construction worker/self taught artist. With NO art training what-so-ever. But willing to share tips if you need, whenever you're ready.

Again, thank you so much! I'm very flattered, and your work is very inspiring. I have a few drawings I have to finish and would like to before I attempt this, but I'll definitely let you know when I do, and will keep all of this in mind!

I hope you do keep this in mind. But let me say, sorry if I seem somewhat pushy. I don't mean too be. I'm not "feeling" pushy... I feel "driven." But it is ALL your choice. On YOUR time, and I'll leave it up to you and quit bothering you. Good luck, nice meeting you and I'll be silent now.
