I'm sure you'll love Florence. It's one of the most beautiful cities in Italy but I'll give you an advice if you want to see the "Uffizi Gallery": go during the lunch time because there's less people on queue (usually the queue is 3 hours or so)... if I remember well when I went there (it was summer so I hope you'll be more lucky) I started the queue at 11.00 am. and I went off (after finished to see everything) at 17.00 pm. and they don't leave you to take pictures
