  Decided to draw my own take on Red in the Reignited Style.

Red is a Magic Crafter and was a prodigy since his childhood years, mastering his use of magic and sorcery. Because of his talents, he was chosen to be a member of the Elder Dragons council at a rather young age, which makes him one of the youngest Elders along with Cho-Lei. It also helped that he was a close friend of Tomas and Titan, who, despite being older than him, were almost like his older brothers, being also his mentors.

As a child, he was impulsive and energetic, eager for adventure, just like Spyro but as he got older, he became more introverted and more focused on his studies of magic. He also liked to mess around with technology and tinkering with mechanical parts, often mixing it with magic. He was also a clueless chick magnet, as he would attract the attention of many young dragonesses such as Cho-Lei, but he never even realized it, being too focused on his studies to think about trivial things such as romance. This all changed when he first met Scarlet Burnington, the beautiful Artisan singer and became enamored with her. Eventually she fell for him as well and chose him as her mate and husband on the courtship season preceding the Year of the Dragon and they had Flame together. He was a good father and husband and was also teaching Flame the art of magic and sorcery so he could follow in his footsteps.

However, one day, Red decided to experiment on dark magic, which was forbidden, in the belief that it could be harnessed for the greater good of dragonkind. His experiments lead him to summon a creature from another dimension that rampaged around the Dragonfly Dojo until the other Elders joined together and sent the monster away. Everyone knew Red was the culprit, and in response, Tomas banished Red and told him to never return. His experiments with dark magic also left him vulnerable to the control of the Sorcerer, who took complete control of Red's mind to turn him into one of his pawns. The corruption changed Red's yellow horns and spikes to dark purple and highlited some of his scales in a bright purple color. Brainwashed and corrupted, Red began planting Dark Gems all over the realm and allied himself with Gnasty Gnorc as a secret plot of the Sorcerer. But Spyro managed to defeat him and things got back to normal.

  Red was only freed from his mind control when Spyro confronted him a second time, when found Red in the Forgotten Worlds having taken Bianca captive. After defeating Red, Bianca revealed to Spyro that Red wasn't the one behind the Calamity, but was merely a pawn placed under the control of the Sorcerer, who was responsible for all the evil things Red had done, including the events of A Hero's Tail. The Sorcerer was attempting to seize control of the world with the Shadow Realm using his Shadow Amplifiers, and used the brainwashed Red to help him. Red regained consciousness, now freed from the Sorcerer's control, and apologized for his actions. In an attempt to make amends, he taught Spyro the Banish spell that was effective against shadow creatures including the Sorcerer, before returning to the Dragon Dojo to rest.

Though he was free of the mind control, his horns still retained the Dark Purple colors, as a reminder of his past crimes, though his scale details returned back to normal. All of the other Elders, except for Titan, forgave him and he was welcomed back into the Realms. He still feels awfully guilty for everything he'd done, as he feels it was his fault for experimenting on dark magic and exposing himself to a malevolent influence like the Sorcerer, but to make up for it, he spends his days in the Dragon Dojo, teaching young dragons about magic, with his son Flame, and his wife, Scarlet, helping him cope from his villainous past.

Hope you guys like him! I am very satisfied of how he came out, anatomy-wise and style-wise. I looked into some of the Reignited Magic Crafters designs for inspiration. Plus, bonus versions bellow of his corrupted form and his post-corruption form. I personally like him more with the dark purple horns, as I think they make a good contrast with his main colors, though it also looks kinda "unnatural" and more like it was indeed a result of corruption, though I think it makes him look better in this case
