Lovely setting, but I'm not sure the angle you photographed her from is flattering to her and adds some distracting focal points. From this perspective, the main focal point is the back of her thighs and her crotch, and it's not a flattering angle for either and I don't think your intention was to have this as the focal point. Adjusting her pose so the camera isn't looking directly at this spot would help. The other big distraction for me is the dirty bottom of her shoe. It's my sincere opinion that the bottom of a shoe is not an attractive element to a portrait, and is highly attention grabbing which makes it a distraction from the main subject (unless of course you want the subject of the photo to be showcasing the bottom of the shoe, in which case a clean shoe with an interesting bottom should be considered).
Looking at the image camera data, I see that you were using a very high ISO setting with a very slow aperture and fast shutter speed. I think the high ISO resulted in the highlights of the image to loose detail (otherwise known as blowing or clipping the highlights). I think with the harsh lighting available in this shot you could have gotten away with a much lower ISO setting which would have made the censor much less sensitive to the light, allowing you to keep better detail in those highlights. Detail and light are highly important, so keeping the details in the light is important as well.

I love the idea and setting in this photo, and think you could really get some good results by making some adjustments to the details.

I did not adjust the color at all for this. I really appreciate your input. It really helps. I honestly, I think I liked this because of the natural coloring of the photo. I didn't even notice the shoe. It is an older photo of mine. I will keep your advice in mind for future shots though. I have avoided this angle since, I may be wrong. Lol. Thank you for your input, I will take it to heart!! I am hoping that by the end of my second year of this photography journey, to improve just a bit more!!

I'm sure the next two years will bring all sorts of improvement and personal growth for you! I'm on year four of being self taught; just stay hungry to improve and you will be on the right track!

I like the natural coloring as well, and agree it needed no alteration.

O yes. What I hvae been told was no matter how long your doing it, its a never ending journey of learning! I looked over your work and you really have an eye for capturing an amazing shot!! I am hoping to take some classes for photography very soon! Maybe next semester in the fall? Or something over the summer. I would benefit from it. Ive never had them before and think I would benefit.
