Description This is a casket spray I was commissioned to make for the funeral of my friend's brother-in-law. I did not know the deceased, but I researched and asked tons of questions about this great man. His favorite colors were blue and gray/silver, which are very hard to come by in Earth's catalogue of flowers. You could find a few flowers such as hydrangeas, which may have a grade of blue in it, but finding gray...well...that's a whole different story. The deceased loved poetry, art, gardens, life, and tons of other things that move the human spirit. I didn't want to overrun the foliage with flowers, so I left spaces where the viewer could appreciate the different types of greenery and be reminded of a lush green garden. The silver ribbon tied everything together for my friend and me, leaving us content that her loved one would have appreciated this piece.
