Description This is a sketch for my art assignment. I'll upload a close up in a second. I'm too lazy to write a proper explanation so you'll just have to deal with one I wrote earlier.

It’s based on self perception and identity, and I sort of took that to abstract levels by including a plague doctor - basically, plague doctors were people with no professional experience who were employed to help heal the sick during the plague, and that represents me in the sense that I help people a lot, but I never really have any idea what I’m doing. The mask is going to be made out of this cool copper-foil stuff with the squiggly bits indented into it (and possibly painted). The coat that it’s wearing is going to be made out of some old-style maps to represent both my general feelings of wanderlust (and my love for the world in general) as well as representing my love of old things, and these will be stitched together (probably over a thin coat, or a brown paper coat) to represent those times when I was barely holding it together. I’m also contemplating putting quotes that mean something to me on them, but I’m not sure yet. I’ll also be painting a watercolour heart on the left-hand side as a way to show just how much art/creativity means to me and how it’s a part of who I am. The canvas in the middle will feature an undetermined picture that includes melted-crayon rain that represents… something. I’m not sure yet. Probably my creativity/love for rain. I don’t know.

Yeah. I'll post my practice crayon melting later.

TADA.
