First of all, I have to say that WOW! Your artwork is gorgeous! The coloring and the way you applied the darker tones are magnificently done. The guy looks like a real-life picture with a slight edit through Photoshop's poster edges, etc. The subtle highlights on the hair are a nice touch. Hm, may I ask if you consider this artwork of yours finished? I would like to suggest performing final touches on the background - maybe make it as semi-realistic or fully realistic to match the main focus of this artwork? But even so, I want to say kudos to you! This is such an extraordinary piece!

Just I made this background like that because I want to concentrate the view on Merlin and a little bit on background.
Also I wanted to show this in a bit smooth transition because the background shows us the future. And it is a bit foggy.

I used Derwent and Derwent watercolour pencils for the portrait and a little bit of Derwent pastel for the background.

Everything about this is wonderful Anastasiya ... down to the light blue background drawings on the delicate peachy orange. May I ask a boring technical question? The texture in his face and elsewhere looks like linen or canvas, is that the paper? If so, may I ask what kind of paper it is? Thanks!
