Where to begin? This is so powerful. As usual, your lighting and technique is superb. I'm in love with the texturing and little details of the skin and the hair; especially how you captured the fainter hairs at the top of the beard. I think the powerful feeling is from the slightly raised eyebrow and the intense look. 
The only thing I might suggest, is that since the lighting on the face is so strong, it seems like there should be something of the inside of the cloak showing. A tiny bit of shadowed fabric texture, perhaps.
In all, I absolutely love it.
