How did you make the scales exactly? I've been trying to find something to help me but I just get stuck.

I used a mold that I found in the local Michael's. It was in the cake/baking section, originally meant for fondant icing. It comes in a pack with 2 molds, one larger and one smaller, they look a bit like cobblestone shapes. I just painted about 7~9 thin layers of liquid latex on the inside, pulled them out and trimmed the pieces to fit my face. The rest was me playing around with some costume makeup until it looked alright.

A lot of time and effort. I was also lucky enough to find a tutorial on youtube for snakeskin makeup which helped immensely. And Thank You Very Much!
