Seems, whe had some similar ideas in the storylines. I am not sure if i will go further with this idea sometimes. But i guess, the Animara-women rise the Gigalanias from eggs and so they become very tame for their riders... But other humans than their owners are simply prey for them. Sometimes the wild ones hunt in packs and raiding a village of natives. One or two Gigalanias broke in, destroying the huts, seizing and gulping down some of the people and scare the others to run into the forests... where the other members of the Gigalania-pack are lurking.

I like this, except for one thing. Unlike Sucuriju, Gigalaina's textures lack a normal map. I think it would look 10 times better if you could create a normal map texture, if you haven't already.

Yes, the bumpmap didn't work correctly, dont know why. I set it to 100%, and tried different adjustments, up to +3.0 and -3.0 (Sucuriju works fine with 100% and only +0.5 and -0.5, but i made the bumpmap for him by myself) but nothing happened. Guess, i must check the bumpmap for it in PSP X and add more contrast to it... or trying it with a displacement-map next time for real mesh-distortings.

It's a normal .jpg file, a black/white-version of the normal map. I have checked it and the contrast of the dark and bright parts of it is not very high. Guess, it need some overwork to adjust it to a more convincing bumpmap.

Have you ever thought about using .png image files for your bumpmaps? A .png allows for transparency, which can result in differences in shininess and can be more useful. I think you should try using GIMP for your bumpmaps. It has a great feature that automatically creates one out of an already existing texture. I have used it to make custom normal maps for my Oblivion game. An example of the texture before using custom normal map: [link] and this is an example of the normal map that I made using GIMP: [link]
Adding contrast does help make the bumpmap texture seem to have more depth, but sometimes, if there wasn't enough in the first place, the best thing to do would be to make another one.
I would like to see what you do with your texture. I definitely enjoy watching you, because of your Gigalania and Sucuriju. They are the ultimate horrors of the Amazon.

Hmmm... i must try it, i can save in PSP X as a .png-file with alpha-channel too, but i din't know, if DAZ-Studio will handle it.
I guess, in my next work i will try to use a bumpmap with higher contrast-settings and add the shininess with the reflection-settings and shader-setting "glossy metallic" like i did it with Sucuriju.
