This is really just an exercise for myself to re-adjust myself to using a tablet again. Anybody who has seen my gallery might already recognize this image from the black and white one already posted ages ago. This is a drawing of the bird man from Labyrinth, dont shout at me if he's not colored exactly right, I did this from memory.I'm pretty happy with the results, considering it was very low res. I simply used the same B&W jpeg I have on deviant art already as the base. And I only used one color level as opposed to my usual way of having nearly every bit with its own layer. I'd appreciate any helpfull comments or tips you might have to improve my tablet skills.

Would you recommend that I get a tablet? I do very little digital work because I have a touchpad and little patience.

I'm still very much a noob at using my tablet, so I can't fairly make the call to anyone as to whether they should get one but.....I've seen people that do amazing things with them, particularly my roommate here at Ringling: Darkfirevic, he's the one who got me interested in my tablet again. Look up his deviant art stuff if you'd like to see some more advanced tableting than mine. He's using a WACOM Intuos3.
I'm using a WACOM Graphire2 tablet, which is the cheapest they offer, but its still excellent for learning the ropes. Plus it comes with a mouse if your tired of using a touchpad
