I honestly never got to watch much Hamtaro as a kid, it being on Foxtel and my family not having it and such.

Its only now I realise I forgot his whiskers. Anywho, heres Ryder!

5. Personality

Cool as a cucumber with shades in the snow. Ryder is a calm guy, with no need to rush and nothing to prove. Its hard to tell what he's thinking when his face pretty much stays in the same relaxed look 24/7. He doesn't judge or let the worlds problems bother him, he's just one ham going with the flow~ However, Ryder has an adventurous spirit and if the world isn't gonna take him to new places, then he's gonna do it himself!

6. History

Ryder was born in a large room with tall brown walls and a floor of wood shavings, every now and then, some big pink thing would look through the top and smile before disappearing again, but he was too young to care. Then one day, he was picked up along with all his brothers and sisters and lifted into another room, but this one had bars instead of brown walls. He waved goodbye to his mum and was whisked away into the world! It was huge! He'd never seen so much space in his whole life, and so many colours too! Soon enough, he and his siblings were brought to a place filled with animals, all kinds of strange and wondrous creatures, some lived in water while others lived under lights or on shredded newspaper. Yep, it seemed like a cool place to chill. And that he did for about a week, until he met John. By now he had learnt what humans were, but John seemed like something else. He was big, and had just as much fur as Ryder, maybe even a bit more! John pointed at him and the Lady who fed him picked him up and placed him in a room like the one he was born in, only this one was a little smaller, but this one they put a roof on and it all went black.

Ryder remembers sitting there in the dark, he thought to himself over his life so far. His mother and siblings, the first room with brown walls, the other creatures in the new place he'd lived in. Then his mind turned to what was going to be. Would he be in here the rest of his life? Would he never see the pretty world again? Would the towering John ever set him free? And then there was light, and a scream. Ryder was lifted up so fast his head spun, and then he met Tess. Compared to John she seemed as big as Ryder, and she too was hairy like Ryder too, but all her hair was on her head, brilliant red curls! He admits, she kinda squeezed him a little hard, but she seemed so happy he didn't mind. Tess carried him everywhere for the next few days, until the day John took her off the cow they had been riding and took her back in the house. Ryder camped outside that night, staring at the stars until he couldn't keep his eyes open any longer. Ryder woke the next morning to see Tess crying on the veranda of the house with John trying to comfort her, Ryder climbed down and made his way over. The look on their faces, John looking utterly shocked, and Tess? Ryder will never forget that smile.

He still wanders the farm, either with Tess or by himself, but he ALWAYS comes back. Because that smile is all he needs to be happy.

Tess - Ryder is smitten with the little girl, she's probably his favourite human in the WHOLE WORLD!
Cows - They totally get it man~
ADVENTURE!! - Its a big world out there, and he want's to see it all.

Being trapped in Boxes - Yeah, not a big fan of being stuck in boxes by himself.
Being too clean - He's not a slob, but whats adventure if you don't get some dust in your fur?
