I love the colors, they blend in so well and it really catches your attention, already the picture is so clear, the bike is the focal point even if it is situated more to one side of the picture, it s what draws you to the picture, tells a story, the rustiness adds extra effect to it all.
The background is somewhat confusing, yet thats what draws my attention even more. Its just the right amount of busyness without over doing it and getting lost in what exactly I'm supposed to be looking at.

I think that picture fits very well with its title: rough textures symbolise very well the old ages (and of course the old bike itself), and the stairs lead us out from the shot symbolising the past that is gone .
I also love the colors here, they make that shot warm and cozy, that fits fell to the image of a grandpa that could be silently present nearby.
You achived a very nice effect with all this - that not only we have the information to understand what's going on here, but we also have the mood due to a great choice of composition.
Maybe one thing that I would like to critisize in a negative way is that black on the left of your shot. I think it disbalances the picture and in my opinion your shot looks better with a lesser amount of it (crop it).
