Description A last-minute entry for ~Esepibe 's Fakemon Legendary contest - the Skitty legendary, Adorakatty. The critter's info is below. Between the normal and shiny pictures I've included a height ratio scale between the Adorakatty and a typically-sized, average, garden-variety Pokemon trainer. I wanted to go for a legendary more along the lines of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, or any of the three beings of Emotion, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. And I hadn't seen any entries for Skitty or Delcatty yet, so I thought I'd try my hand at something I already like: Cats!

==========

Name: Adorakatty - Gentle Kitten Pokemon
Name Splice: Adorable + Skitty + Delcatty
Type: Normal Grass
Number: 203
Height: 1'-2'
Weight: 10-15lbs.

Ability: One of three possible.
Cute Heart - Much like its previous forms, the Adorakatty is cute - to such a dramatic extent that even its foes have a hard time working up the iron will required to take on such a sweet foe. Cute Heart has a 35% chance to cause Infatuation, making its foes fall in love with it and become unable to attack.
Night Wish - Adorakatty's origins are shrouded in mystery, but one thing all scientists can agree on; the creature has a strange affinity with the night. It can croon to the stars with its musical purr. Night Wish has a 45% chance on hit to restore 50% of the HP lost when attacked.
Pressure: Opponents' moves take 2 PP when used.

Special Attack: One of two.
Guiding Star [PP 5] - This is a purely defensive action. Adorakatty meows to the moon. All stats sharply increase. [Atk, Def, Acc, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Spd +6, Immune to Sleep/Confuse/Paralysis for 5 rounds.]
Icy Comet [PP 5] - An offensive attack. Adorakatty meows fiercely into the sky. A comet of jagged ice falls from the sky, damaging the opponent. [50% chance to freeze opponent. Base power: 75 Accuracy: 95]

Base Stats:

Spe. Att: 105
Spe. Def: 150

Origins: There is a story, a legend men tell on starry nights, when the sky looks like black velvet covered in sparkling diamonds. When Skitty was first discovered in the deep green forests and shimmering grasslands of Hoenn, it was a wild creature, exuberant and almost tenacious in its play. It was something of a trickster, leading travelers off their paths with its adorable mew, only to lead them right back perhaps an hour or so later, with an affectionate rub of ankle or purr of farewell before disappearing back away into the trees. Judging from this behavior, most felt that the Skitty wanted nothing more than a companion. That led to the domestication of the sweet-tempered, gentle animal we know today. The stories, however, don't stop there. Other records exist, and they are most decidedly not speaking of the Skitty our scientists are familiar with today.

The Skitty they describe is slightly smaller of build, more compact. Its coat is a pale, delicate pink, plush and glossy. Its underside is colored a blinding white, and its ears have the telltale tufts of tall fur that usually identify a Skitty. The major differences are in its tail and on its underside. The shaping of the white fur on the chest of the myth is shaped like a crescent, much like the white patch on the Skitty's face, though this offshoot species does not carry the identifying characteristic of a crescent moon on its face. The short plumes of fur extending from the ball of fluff at the end of its tail take the shape of shining gold stars and silvery crescent moons.

Since the first stories of this mythical cousin to the Skitty were discovered, many a theory has been bandied about regarding its species, origin, and evolution. Scientists propose that the Skitty's strange ancestor is, in fact, legendary in nature, and has been out of the reach of mankind's direct influence for centuries, if not millenia. It is also supposed that its evolution was directly affected by the changing of seasons, weather, and the moon's light as it spins around our world and reflects varying amounts of the sun's light. It is unclear, however, whether it evolved from the Skitty, or that the Skitty evolved from it. Mankind may never know, as it has never been seen long enough to even contemplate the idea of capture.

As this creature is closely linked (at least in theory) to the Skitty and the Delcatty Pokemon breeds, the name that has been tentatively designated for its use is "Adorakatty", because judging by the descriptions of all those who have seen it, it is cuter, if possible, than a Skitty by a longshot.
