Some very impressive clouds and foilage there. If you do not mind the comparison, brings Pennington to mind.

Most welcome. Am usually careful making definitive comparisons - after all, style and influence can be sensitive matters! - but could not help it. Pennington's Eschatus remains one of the most influential books I have read; although must say as an adult, I rather prefer this type of flying saucers to his.

It's a bit embarrassing, but to be honest, I just found out about Pennington from you. And I'm kinda blown away. Incredibly inspiring work. Now I will have to getΒ Eschatus and study him.Β
As far as I know, sci fi books were never very popular in latvian book stores, atleast I never really saw any, and if we had any translated into latvian, the covers were usually changed, so I never got the pleasure to learn of all these great sci fi artists when I was a kid. I have some catching up to do.
Thank you for showing me this!Β

A pleasure! And indeed, that is a feeling I know well.
First - and thus far also last - came across Eschatus in print when I was perhaps eleven years old, in an after school art class at the junior high library. Having been exposed to 13-15 year olds for nineteen years the book was in pretty miserable shape, and when I moved up two grades myself it had long since been discarded. There was a book in the same library that had a few Foss illustrations, but that was about it.
The only time at school I saw any dedication to proper sci-fi art books was in senior high, when my art teacher procured Giger's ARh+ with her own money.
