I love the simplicity and stark contrast of the colors- it makes for a really unique and amazing piece. Great job!

It was good! Though the ending romance thing seemed a bit thrown together. Like I am happy but...I don't know, it didn't have the same satisfaction that Aang/Katara had. But Amon got 5000 billion times cooler than he was before. I loved his backstory.

See here's the thing. I was a bit disappointed with the ending.

I like the romance between Korra and Mako but that was just way too soon for me. I was thinking a bit slower or step by step with them.

Then the whole avatar deal. Amon took her bending away. It was gone. I would have been fine if she had one bending ability and spiritual connection and maybe even learning from Aang and others to build up her powers, but no. She gets all her bending back. She is even given the ability to give people their bending back. I think they could have lengthened that a bit. I felt that was just pointless and a waste of time for Amon's threatening ability to be used then cast aside like that.

I doubt he's dead though but still. That was just kind of a disappointing ending for me.

Yeah, the ending felt like it crammed a bit too much in, if you ask me. I also wish that Korra had that frustration a bit longer and had to learn to deal with it. Like she had to get over her extremely emotional state and then meditate to connect with Aang and the other Avatars. Also-I feel like Mako gets showed as a total dick for moving from Asami to Korra so quick. That should've been drawn out so more people can at least respect his confusion in feelings better. Also-there could've been more character building with Bolin and Asami. Bolin is only this funny guy and nothing else and Asami is kind of Mako's token unfortunate love interest.

And yeah...I fell in love with Amon as a villain and they killed him off. It sort of reminds me of the ending of Lost, like they just had to end things on a decent note so they had everything happen at once. I really think they could've gotten away without having Korra and Mako together. We'll have to see how things progress after this point.

I dunno if Amon is dead, but we'll see. I really hope not. He's one of the most interesting villains and Steve Blum just rules.

Mako did come off a bit like a dick, but I still like him, but I think they just didn't make things smoother. Too rushed like you said. *Sigh* I dunno we'll see in future episodes though.

I can see Bolin being the comfort person for Asami.

I did think however that Asami would turn against them and join her dad, but I dunno. That could be a potential twist.

Yeah...but I feel like Amon is dead. I think it would be too ridiculous if he survived. I guess it is possible that he is able to heal himself, being around a shit ton of water. I just think his crying was a comparison to Korra's, both of them sort of contemplating "suicide" but Korra choosing against it. Amon's suicide is him being aware of what his brother is doing and not stopping him, though he is very capable of doing so.

For Bolin and Asami, though, I only see them being friends. And given that Asami, basically right after she is broken up with and very emotional, didn't already turn over to her father's side makes it very unlikely that she will, unless she was playing the group the whole time. Which makes no sense since she hasn't hindered them. I feel like they might make it a twist that she is suspected of doing that after she tries to make amends with her father and cut things off. And it is all for naught, sort of thing. I could see either Asami leaving the crew or becoming very important.

See that's the thing. I don't know if it was really suicide. I don't think he realized Tar'loc was planning to do that. But who knows. If he did survive, he'd be pretty scarred up.

True, true.

That could be a good potential plot. Some conflict with her about possibly switching sides with her relationship issues between Mako and her dad. It'd be interesting to see them suspecting her for treachery.

I just hope they amend this in the second season.

I can just imagine him and Korra's reunion.
Korra: WHY are you wearing makeup again? -waterbend splash-
Amon: This one is waterproof.

Yeah, I do hope that Asami gets something good going her way because she was pretty good about things. Like when she was getting suspicious about Mako and Korra, she asked Mako about it. I think she deserves brownie points for how strong of a person she's been.

I can't agree with you more. I know from interviews that the makers are really happy with this filler-free sort of plotline, I just wish they'd open up episodes solely for character growth/endearment. People got attached to relatively few characters in comparison to A:tLA.

XDD

Ya. This show however has been very adult themed or teenager themed rather than kid like. Its got some stuff that is a bit too mature for kids. Asami was pretty level headed about it and put Mako in the spotlight. He didn't handle it but rather just left her. Without a word pretty much.

I'm sure they will make some character episodes but they need to come soon.

Yeah. I really like that, though. They really helped put this show on the same level as all the fans who watched it for years. I feel like they show a lot of values in different things. They value good humor, innovative thinking, focus under severe stress, and also learning how to let out your emotions properly. These are just some of the few that it (and A:tLA) teaches. I don't know...I'm sold. xD

I do feel that any of the character episodes we want will be heavily tied with the plot. The creators seem to like this straight-forward style. Which somewhat matches the personality of Korra, actually.

I think this show is meant more towards fans who were in A:tLA than new people. Kind of like an ongoing thing more for them than new people.

I didn't think of it like that. Huh. Good thinking there. Very Korra orientated.
