Description
This piece, from my series ‘netPorn’ (in Afrikaans, my 1st Language, net means ‘only’) is one of four featured as prints on the Porn Again exhibition at the Merely Mortal Gallery in Johannesburg (20/4/2005-4/4/2005).

The series investigates the relationship between art and pornography by using it as a starting point from which to try and escape banal objectification, searching for aesthetic redemption. This piece goes well with another from the series that I’d rather not publish here, entitled netPorn:2 SEarch engINE Chapel. This piece is supposed to remind of a religious stained glass window, though instead of stoic iconography, from a almost psychedelic kaleidoscopic digital mandala, four female figures emerge to intersect and wind around each other in lust for redemption.

At the exhibition’s opening this piece seemed to be very well received by especially lesbians, figures 
