I didn't keep track of the amount of time I put into this, but I don't feel like it took any more or less than any of my other recent drawings, so I would estimate about 35-40 hours. I used a variety of different pencils ranging from 6H to 9B. I used an ebony graphite pencil for the coat.Related content

Hey, I love this, but not sure the DA watermark is necessary. It hides the sharpness of the eye. I think your own signature (a second one in white on the black of the coat) will be more efficient to protect your drawing without spoiling it. So if you want to do it, just edit the deviation once modified, don't post it another time. I'll explain if you don't know how to do

I understand, I hate the watermark as well, but I have had my work stolen in the past. On one occasion the individual edited out my watermark and my signature and sent the the drawing in to the singer in the drawing, crediting the work as their own. The singer began to use the drawing on their website, Facebook and Twitter account crediting the person who stole it. I felt like an absolute ass when I contacted him to ask if he could either credit me or remove the credit entirely. Although I was flattered he even liked the drawing enough to use it, I'd rather receive no credit at all than have someone else take credit for my work. The reason why I go with the DA watermark is because it is smack in the middle of the drawing and is difficult to edit out.

Wow, I didn't know people could be such douchebags, stealing others artworks... I'm really sorry for you! But think about making your own watermark (it's easy to do with any software), so you could place it anywhere you want on the drawing, and not just in the eye

The shading of the skin is amazing and also tze details in the hair and how you shaded every hair strand !

Yeah, I'm extremely slow at drawing. I've never been able to finish any of my drawings in under 30 hours.
