Well you really deserved this comment ! As all of us, I'm a big fan of american comics and process of working, but I see a lot of people here on DA, who seem to replace elegance by multiple FX, and I really do appreciate works containing softness and what we call in France "juste ce qu'il faut" (just what is needed). I think it's typically european, and it can gives a lot value to comic style. Your work is soft to the eye, clear, and elegant, you don't show off, this is what I like. I don't consider the more you put FX, the better the drawing is, sometimes I think the FX are just used to cancel bad or inesthetic drawings, so when I see esthetic drawings and elegant colors, I'm happy !

Of course, all this is subjective, it's an opinion ^^ But..... ^^

You're right... FX should be used only when really needed. And it depends on the picture you're doing. I know well french bande dessinees (sometimes me and my brother worked with french editors) so I know that you're used to read clear and soft bd... And looking it better this picture may be one of a french comics.

Now we are tring to make new pictur in american style, as the one of Thor, Emma Frost and Cap. That are "experiment" to propose comics on the american market... We try every possible way to have important professional jobs!!!

Si, capisco, avete ragione ! (parlo l'italiano anche lol ma l'inglese è più facile per me), penso che potete tenere gli due stile perchè il comic sta evoluando da alcuni anni. Molti scenoggiatori da qualità sono inglese, e molti artisti sono latini, from Brazil, Spain, etc.... Penso che dobbiamo tenere la nostra personalità artistica europeana, ma mescandola col il loro approccio. Spero che ho ragione, sono soltanto un modesto illustratore freelance, non ho editore, e non ho veramente qualcosa da editare, ma io lavorero a questo soon

Tu as raison, on doit savoir faire toutes les choses possibles, parce que aujourd'hui le marché c'est le monde... On peut etre appelee pour travail en Italie, en France, aux Etas Unis... On doit faire tous les styles et maintenir les origines!

Si. Ho cercato di fare lo sfondo caldo con toni arancioni per far staccare il blu del personaggio, sfruttando il contrasto dei colori complementari. C'è tutta una ricerca scientifica dietro ogni disegno, qui mica si scherza!!!!
