First of all i want to thank all of those who inspire me, respect my work and give me the strength to continue to what i do !!
2. Important :
Dont forget to make backups of your old files first !!!!
3. Instructions :
Both explorerframe.dll files i provide, have fullribbonui icons with the orange placeholders taken out and are animated with 2 types of animations (rectangular and position), so select one of the two provided files and replace the old file in System32 folder of Windows directory..This can be done after taking ownership of the old file, renaming it to explorerframe.dll.bak and make the replace with the new file..
After this you must refresh explorer :
So you have 2 options to see the animations (choose any of them you want) :
(a) run task manager, stop the process of windows explorer,make a new task,write explorer and hit enter or
(b)go to start menu,run command and write "TSKILL EXPLORER" without the "" and hit enter..this will restart windows explorer too.
Animations can be shown on the below things :
(a) Windows explorer icons (any preview type selected it has
a different animation style)
(b) Shell texts
(c) Start menu search box (found items fall from the top of
the start menu everytime u do a search)
4. Support - Testing - Bugs :
Fully tested by me and Misaki 2009 ([link] ) and i want to thank him so much for this..Explorerframe proved its stability on its fast animation speeds especially if your PC is well builted and fast. Bugs not found and i believe this version will be stable too as the previous one..

Nope. Even the latest version V.5 is not supporting the latest win 8 build - it supports only Consumer Preview. Microsoft made some changes on the UI and i'm still working on it.

Well not actually because im working also on other things and i'm very busy..currently though im trying to find ways to edit the files. Microsoft obviously changed the format of the UI to avoid any tricks but i'm positive i can do something about it.

my friend thank u for all these kind words and recnognising the most important thing..i prefer mostly to submit a bad deviation than be rude and stealing others work, or even not supporting others, as others supported me on my beginnings..after that this is my point, the people to like what i do and enjoy them as i do..actually if u make anything in life and u like it, u give everything for that so chances to succeed are many..(we talk for serious people who knows of course what they are doing)..so many ideas, some time and love for the art gives at least a minimum result as u see it here

as for the speed i think yr right..windows 8 supposed to be faster but till now on leaked builds there are still some bugs so maybe these are making their pc's slower..but if u mean the animation specifically of course the animation to work properly needs a well built pc..even if this works with windows 7

no need for forgiving, you did a great job porting this to windows 7...
though i expect windows 8 to change a lot of things, including this explorerframe animation! i hope you can do this again in the future, porting windows 8 stuff to windows 7. In case if windows 8 sucks then ill stick with 7.

hehe thx bro for yr kind words and support. i expect a lot also for windows 8 but we' ll see how it' ll go..i' ll try to import the animation code also on the beta milestone and on the final release and see if it works..if it fails i' ll try to figure out the changes on the explorerframe and see if its possible to be done..i hope this too, cz already we see some serious changes like that ribbonui which i can't make it work for windows 7..importing the code simply crashes windows 7 explorer so it needs months to figure out all the changes !!

nice work man.. you're one of the first few people to start tweaking Windows 8
i tried M1 a few weeks ago and decided to wait until Beta is released because it's so similar to Windows 7 and im kind of happy with Windows 7
When Win8 is finally released, you'll be ready to go !

hehe thank u my friend..actually i know some people who also started doing some serious work on this, cz we need those modifications..hehe..till yesterday i was very busy with seminars with some tests, now i have all the time to work seriously also on this and see what we can do..very difficult though, it needs time and knowledge but i ll do my best..so if you already tried M1, yr decision was the best to wait, cz beta is really close..i use both cz vmware doesnt work for 7955 so i've installed it with virtualbox
P.S : hey rudeboyses if u are still using M1 and u want to add some animations also on your explorerframe, send me the file that is system 32 and i ll do it for u

recently got windows 8 build 7955 m3 but when l try to upgrade from my windows 7 it says that the version of windows l have is newer than the one lam trying to upgrade but thats impossible l have windows 7 sp1 build 7601 ..how is it possible or it says this cus its a windows 8 prerealise?

u wont have to do an upgrade to yr windows 7 cz its not ready yet yr windows 8 to upgrade 7..the correct procedure to write 8 is using virtual box..vmware workstation doesnt work to install 7955 build (it doesnt support it) so follow the instructions here using virtualbox to make the proper installation..:

yes of course..try these ways (of course the other is if the previous didnt worked) :

thx jaycee13..u mean ribbonui right? actually im trying to but explorer crashes..this may need months to be done because codes for ribbonui in 8 are in many dll's and registry which 7 doesnt have..i'll experiment a bit with those available ribbonui's packs which Crypton Suite and Qio's Dev Suite have for visual studio 2010 and see what happens..mostly those packs as i saw are used in portable notepads with ribbonui and such things so i dont know yet how we can add them in explorer

yes its very complex the all thing..thx for the good luck eventhough i think my knowledges on these are still at the beginning but i have good contacts and i hope they may help i ve already sent some mails to people, programmers etc who work especially with codes for ribbonui on windows forms for c++ and visual studio to see if there is a way to make it happen..of course we ll learn about this soon and anything i know i ll keep also informed the community..i just need to collect some infos first to know the facts so i can speak responsibly !!
