I find that animals with the species name "comanche" tend to be awesome, regardless of what other taxa they belong to.

I'm also partial to Pogonomyrmex comanche, but more because of their biology than their appearance (not a very impressive-looking ant). I have yet to meet a comanche I didn't like though.
