so i just had to share this inking disaster. i started with a decent drawing of batman- even though the pose is a little stiff. so anyways i thought i would just go crazy with the inks and it got crazy alright. i assumed i could get away without properly pencilling a background. so without having a proper direction i just contradicted myself over and over in the inks.i mean there are elements that i like- just wish i would have put more thought into spotting the black shapes and the white shapes. then to top it off i tried to add some grey markers in hopes of pulling out some fourth quarter magic and it just didn't happen. the funny thing is- i still took the time to sign it.
anyway this was supposed to be a commission but i couldn't give them this piece. it kinda looks like spaghetti.

I don't know, I think this is kind of amazing. It's got so much weird energy. I think it's a serendipitous fuck up, honestly.

there are some areas i like- just wish it worked better as a whole. sometimes you eat the brush and sometimes the brush eats you.

Go Mignola on it and fill in most of that background! Leave a few spot whites around the hands maybe but you could seriously lose the rest in black. Love Batman's head on this one; it still pops off the piece.

Maybe a fantastic disaster. I think it's pretty damn cool looking. It's very free and unpretentious.

I like spaghetti, and I like this piecei. I also like the chunky belt you gave Bats, along with the yellow oval symbol on his chest.

Not all bad, I can sorta see what you had intended if I look close but otherwise it just sorta looks like a loose dark drawing. Not a total failure, and also the thumbnail looks brilliant. Cant be a winner EVERY time though!

If those nice stringy lines on the right side were meshed together more so it didn't look like a happy accident I'd be more than happy to pay for something like this. Then again I can't afford you so take that with a grain of salt lol
