Well here it is.The Lego VW Bug I've been building and had to rebuild because of an odd mistake on my part.
A grand total of 1,626 pieces.
Cool things about it:
The front "trunk" opens (see the first photo), the back trunk opens to show the engine (as visible in this picture), the doors on both sides open, the couch folds down and the front seats fold down.
Over all it was a pretty complex model.
What's next?
I'm honestly not sure, but I'm sure it'll be quite enjoyable.

I know the whole thing weighs four pounds when its done..

Yeah, there were a few pretty complex parts because it's all one color other than the doors and that makes your eyes go into a cross-eyed look trying to figure out where pieces go in the "correct" spots.
After assembling Legos for years you sort of get a feel where pieces go though and I think that's what aided me the most when assembling this beast of a model.

The rear houses the engine.. that's why original VW Bugs (like the one this is based on .. the 1960 Charlotte model) were so dang hot to drive.
