Description
In this image i wanted to study the mundanity of brushing teeth, and relate it to the viewer in the most harshest sense.Working in a hyper realistic style enables me to distance myself from the person in the image, but heightens the connection to the original photographic source.

just a normal fine brush... I have to water down the oil paint usually with alot of linceed oil to get the ability for fine effects like that.

just wondering, do you use a projector to outline the picture onto canvas?

Hiya, no I dont use a projector I just grid the canvas and copy section by section the photographic information into painting information.
This is what gives the intensified detail to areas of the face usually gone unoticed.

wow thats dedication! when ive tried that in the past i can never get the proportions right! but yes, you never get the exact detail you want from a projector and it does feel like cheating
