Description My wife and I have started creating charactures of various famous people whom we admire, when we have a chance of meeting them. We make two copies of the characture, one to be autographed, and the other is a gift for that celebrity. The medium is ink and marker on bristol board. A few years ago The Mythbusters (Television personalities, and special effects wizards) Came to our home town with a stage show. It was awesome. Though Grant, Carrie, and Tory were not there, we did manage to get Adam and Jamie to sign it. You will notice a photograph of part of the show, wedged into the top of this image. They are making use of some fire extinguishers. Sorry if the quality isn't that great; what you see here is a digital photograph of the characture as it hangs on my wall.

ha! Awesome! I love mythbusters. You did a great job, expecially on Adam. Once again, I'm pretty jealous that you managed o get it signed.

Thank you. Its probably my favorite of my collection. I had to go through a bit of trouble to get it signed too. They werent giving autographs at that show. Thats partly why we make two copies of the characture. We give one to them, and get the other signed. If you go up to someone and ask for an autopragph... you might be bothering them. But if you go up to someone and say that you have a gift for them.... well, they are a bit more receptive.

that's a great way to cheat your way in Do you tend to keep which ever characticature that looks the best? Or is that the one that goes to the celebrity? Or do you make a copy instead of re-doing the entire project?

I draw the second characture (No photocopys... a photocopy would be a lousy gift, and not exactly something that I would want to hang on my wall) But I use a light table to make the copy quickly and as exact as possible. I ususally give the better version to the celebrity... but I'm really the only one who can tell any difference between the two anyway.
