Description You may have noticed that most, if not all, of my Taj Mahal shots are in B&W. Here is a rare HDR colour version of the Taj Mahal. The lighting on that morning wasn't brilliant hence most of my shots have benefited from the monochrome treatment.

Colours like this enhances the mystic of the Taj. My brother once said to me regarding my travels, The difference with my reality and his is that I've physically touch places like this but he has to trust the information given to him. You were lucky the fog didn't roll in as it did for us one evening.

Thanks Stuart. The lighting was not that great to be honest. We went very early and there was a hint of fog which cleared as the sun rose. By that time we were long gone heading for Agra Fort.

Very nice mate. I saw a documentary on the Taj Mahal yesterday on NGC and now I totally wanna visit that place! You even tricked my eyes in this shot. I didn't even see it was HDR until I read your artist comment. Well played you sly fox!

Your HDR detector-eye is not as good as it used to be. You know what mate? I'm starting to doubt myself now. I did a couple of versions and I'm sure this was the HDR one...who knows?!

Yeah definitely put it on your list of places to visit. It's cool and has got lots of good karma and vibes. I will definitely return. One trip is not enough. The place will inspire you for sure! I'd love to see your take on India. You have to go!

Where do you want to go apart from India?

Well at the moment I only have the Taj Mahal on my list. Haven't done any further research about the country at all! I don't like overcrowded places so I'd definitely wanna visit some temples or ruins and just the nature of India.

And yeah, while I still use HDR in most of my shots I think I've grown a bit tired of seeing HDR. The eye candy that attracted me to it at first has become something I dislike!

I think subtle HDR is absolutely fine, like what you are doing in your shots recently (tutorial) and I agree with you wholeheartedly about the novelty of full fat HDR. It was cool at first, but now when I see some overly HDR'd images, it becomes an art form rather than photography. It masks the realism in the photo. Overkill.

Looking back and thinking about it now, I much prefer your style now over your initial HDR stuff.

Well it doesn't bother me at all if the HDR is overly done if it fits the scenery and complements the overall shot, but I can't stand shots anymore that are made HDR only for the eye popping effect.

And thanks a lot bro, I like my style from now a lot more myself as well!

I did notice that most of your Taj-Mahal shots were in B&W (which I love btw), however, the subtle spectrum of colors in this makes it a classy shot Andrew! It's a perfect square crop and composition, you did a superb job dear

Thanks Dennis. Think this upload finishes off my India collection (though I did close it last year )

Glad to hear that the colour version is OK too.

Funny how that word "close" can be flexible sometimes. I am VERY glad it was in this case because you have wow'd me with your stuff you uploaded today. I think the color version is spot on to be honest.

In that case Sir, I'm glad I didn't close it completely.

That's really cool to hear that Dennis. Much respect to you!
