Description
An entry featuring two veterans of the great war, my Roaring Arcanine Adrohai Arnsgail and *Silver5 's Mortimer 'Spearow-Eyed' Tyler Two veterans from the great war who've fought alongside each other a few times with knives,guns, rifles and swords who have know come back to a different war using magical animal critters known as pokemon. I like to believe the two legendary soldiers managed to meet up a few times during the great war, and became acquaintances, or maybe even friends.
This is basically a big love letter to the awesomeness that is Mortimer Tyler. I plan to do more of these comics for other veterans in the army, such as Gustav Ghir and JAmes Archibald. But i also wanted to show Adrohai's caring side as well as a living witness to validate Adrohai's bold claims of charging straight on into enemy lines. LIKE A BAWS!!!
I imagined their relationship with each other would be a very friendly rivalry kind of bromance, where one would try to one up the other with some good ol' fashion banter and harmless jokes. So they didn't mean the harsh words they said in the comic, they both GENUINELY DO RESPECT EACH OTHER, as soldiers and as friends.
Anyway, gotta get started on round 2 now. Expect a rallying speech from the Roaring Arcanine!!

Your style has so much character and really compliments Adrohai's personality - rugged and bold. I really like how you used strong lines on the panels you really wanted to convey a lot of mood. SKDHGNVF Adrohai is amazing and ewgsfkcv I love his personality. I just cannot convey everything I want to say coherently, so please interpret those little moments of keyboard mashing to your liking. ;u;

this is seriously brilliant, you've got a really unique and awesome comic style that's really good fun to read
i jsut hope i can fit more dialogue into my work with youre boy in it! there's a brief cameo at the start, but im shite at comics so im just trying to get through hahah! but if there's ever free time, im thinking an illustration is in order :3

Aww, I didn't really know Adrohai was really that caring. He really cares about others! Usually veterans are portrayed as aged-men who complain about the next generation. I also love how you told the comic, btw :]

The Lasso tool and the gradient tool (and photoshop) are my best friends when it comes to shading my comics

What a great read!
I adore your attention to detail and how you manage to bring out all these little things in design or facial expressions despite the pretty rough pencil strokes/crosshatching.
I also love the lil' story and how you handled its' execution. Very good pacing! A-and the transition in Adrohai and Mortimer's expressions until they start laughing is done so well, aaaaah, you can certainly catch some subtle emotions in your style-!
I can't wait to see your comic round entries, if they will be executed with similar care as these spectator comics we're in for a real treat. <3

Hahaha I know what you mean dude, sometimes i find a lot of comics (especially frank miller comics) they do tend to prattle on and on with the dialogue, feels like reading a book with some pictures instead of an actual comic book.

a lot of comic writers try it but is not very often the dialogue is actually so natural and enjoyable to read
