Description Infrared + 4 Photo Stitch + Dodging/Burning + Curves + Tones

edit: More description on the photo.

Final result came out very sinister looking. The album 'In On the Kill Taker' by Fugazi just popped into my head then...I have a lot of IR photos like this coming up with cold tones and paths. Keep on the lookout...

Shield covering the lens? I'm not sure what you are referring to...and I'm not sure what makes you think there's an apparent problem
Would you mind explaining more?

my canona510 has this thing that covers the lens automaticly when it shuts. Sometimes it won't open fully, so the pic looks like yours: there are dark corners. Hope i was clearer

Those dark corners are the result of the stitching I performed on the photo in addition to burning in the edges - nothing to do with a camera malfunction

I love the dodging and buring; it works perfectly with the composition. I love how the steps lead your eyes up to that sinister looking tree. Very nice.

Great photo!
I love this unique shape of the photo caused by the dark edges in the lower left and the upper right and the steps working like some kind of counterweight, so the composition doesn't tilt!
In addition to that the great contrast on the big tree looks really great, especially in composition with the ir-white tree next to it. I think the very small contrast on the steps helps to direct the viewers eye on the tree in the back, really well done best piece I've seen today

hmmm oddly it makes me expect to
see the headless hoarse man from sleepy hallow
come galoping up to stand by the tree waiting.

Wow dude...one of your best I'd say! ONLY thing I'd suggest is to make the steps level. I absolutely love the slanted nature of it, but the steps being slanted too makes me feel like I'm gonna slip and fall

That's the intent
I wanted the photo to be very off balance and forboding
