Description I was walking along and saw this bee taking the necture from this small flower. I usually am scared of bees but with this lil guy I was actually amazed.

Thank you! I was actually at an art museum and I was taking pictures of the flowers when this bee just started to fly by and landed on that flower and started to take the pollen. i thought it was amazing! and just had to take the pic!

its a super photo of a bee doing its work they are amazing, workers only live for one season, sometimes I have bumblebees coming into my porch worn out with all the work, I revive them with a spot of honey on a stick, got some good photo's of them but really its the end for them without bees pollinating life as we know it would not exist, they are sooo important to life on earth

yes bees are quite amazing I like spiders as well, its the midges we get here that would be better eradicated, blood sucking little pests that can drive a person crazy, get in your clothes, hair, up sleeves, almost invisible unless they are in hordes when even the cattle go berserk

well midges are easier to bear on the coast as it only takes a slight breeze to disperse them, but I have been some places inland beside water where being outside is unbearable without headgear with gauze net, fishermen go out fully protected trying to catch salmon & trout, but midges are seasonal so most of the year is pleasant enough without them they are so tiny tiny to be so annoying

yes! midges are known as Scotlands natural defences, a bit like a nuclear deterrent, most people don't find out until its too latebut they still keep coming back again
