Description
This is one of the first bits of Poser 4 art I was ever really satisfied with, and the first in a series of pictures I did of my RPG group's D&D characters. This is Vith Toravel, my elven ranger (and for all you drow-knowledgable people out there, no I *didn't* know what it meant when I named him...I found that out later. Woe.
). These days, I'm a bit less satisfied with it -- particularly the manner in which he's holding the bow, how his arm and cloak are passing through each other, and that horrible excuse for armor. Blech. Still, not a complete waste of effort.The hair and props are from [link] 's freestuff section. The background is a photomanip, and the whole thing was touched up in Photopaint 9.

This is a brilliant piece of work. I like the depth and mistiness of the forestwork in the background, it adds so much atmosphere, and the way in which you've managed to portray weight and the tension in that bow movement is impressive. You can get a feel for it just by the visual. Also, really good details as well.

Thanks! I'm going to upload some more of the art and some of his stories eventually. Well, maybe not the stories...they were bridge-gaps between games and probably don't make much sense on their own.
