I think there are too many lines on the human's face to start, but perhaps the "portioning out" of the planes of the face there did you some good, since the transformation seems very fluid. Very nice work!

well that's very true, now the lines tick me off too, now that I notice them. But the thing is that this is how i always flesh out my drawings, and this one was intended only as a quick doodle (never tried to do a transf. process before ever).
