Rumors had swirled about the little village in recent days. Items left unattended suddenly vanished, tools swiped from unlocked sheds, and sundry deliveries arriving suspiciously light. Rumors of a thieving group that had set up shop in their humble town, taking advantage of their small size and proximity to a larger trade route.

But the village wasn't helpless. Not by a long shot. Nim was on the case from the first reports of missing items and kept pressing the thieves' trail wherever she could. The heavy twins she carried only slowed the ranger down a tiny bit as she closed in on the thieving group. The General Store was expecting a shipment this evening and it wouldn't be unpacked until the following morning. If Nim's hunch was right, she'd nab her wrong-doers in the act.

Scrambling up into a leafy branch from a nearby rooftop, the pregnant Rabbit doe got as comfortable as she could and knocked an arrow in her bow, waiting for her shot. Nim figured a warning shot would be plenty to scare them off... With the sun set and night fast approaching,

Nim was startled from her slight doze by a fierce set of thumps from her twins. Sighing, the mother-to-be gingerly strokes her belly that poked out from her uniform jacket. "Easy now, you two... Mom's on duty. I can't be distract--" In the middle of her sentence she caught movement from the closed store from the corner of her eye. "There you are~" She gives her middle another pat before taking up her bow. "Now you two, settle down and watch Mommy scare off some hooligans~"
