It's a good picture. It looks like you got it down. Ultra-nice is the cross-hatched texture of the red background.
This pose especially reminds me of my old landlord, bringing me back to the days of the efficiency apartment by the beach and the early Sunday-morning lawnmower start-up next to my glass front door.

Thanks so much, you're too kind <3 I'm not overly experienced with digital art either, I've only been at it for about six months now, and I'm still very much in the learning process myself, so I'm not sure I'm qualified to give out tips However, I'd say most of the 'rules' that apply to traditional art apply to digital, as well. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe experiment with different brushes, because that's always fun and it helps with figuring out what direction you want to take your painting/drawing. Other than that, just be patient and persistent, and the improvement will surely follow

OH EXCELLENT! I actually yelled that out loud as soon as I saw his eyes, even before I scrolled down enough to see the rest of the picture.
I think this is the best painting of 12 I've seen. The hair, the eyes, the eyebrows, the shades, the hand. All perfect.
