I like the fade to black. The shirt collar is unbelievably realistic and 3 dimensional. Great work.

Thank you! I love that photo a lot, so had to paint it, partially at least xD The photographer who took it has seen it and she seems to have liked it so hopefully I've done okay

Thanks very much for the thoughtful comment!! I don't paint each hair individually, I underpaint with several different brushes to give shape/depth and then add individual strands at the end, but I try not to overdo it. As for the reflection, the reference photo I used is pretty much the same way and I didn't really think about altering it (mostly because I liked how shiny it looked xD), but I'll keep your advice in mind in the future, thank you.
