Your wonderful woman warrior is featured here:  Days of August MajestyBehold, it is time for another feature! As always, I feature works which have under 300 faves, with two exceptions I couldn't resist, can you guess them? The last two works are literature, an especially unappreciated category, so please have a look! Enjoy, and have a blessed day!! -Debra

I really like your folds on that jacket, sir.
To me folds are hard to make look well

Love this. So full of rich detail and texture and a magnificent set of colour choices. The purple works so well with the oranges and browns of the field.

Gorgeous costume designs! Did you have references, or come up with them completely on your own?

A little bit of both to be honest - the real world is full of amazing designs and costume. I recall the horse barding was mostly reffed from some silk screen paintings of mongols, for example.

Nice! I like combining existing designs with whatever is floating around in my head.

Truth is usually stranger than fiction, I find. There are some bizarre real world designs out there.

i'll say, those details are insane!
I like how you used the purple and contrasted her against the yellow field

I really love the painting on this! It seems a little more polished than the other one.
I hope you do a little stepbystep for this too. (Thus shall I secretly learn all your skills, surpass them, then challenge you to a drawing duel- TO THE DEATH!...or LIKE A BOSS! if you're Socar Miles).
Have you seen a movie called Mongol? It has a similar feel in its imagery... if not- you should! It's Russian made but stars Japanese Ladies' Choice: Asano who is a modern rennaisance man who cooks, acts, paints and plays music and is generally a bad example for mankind everywhere.
However the lead female is actually Mongolian and has that quality about her face that speaks of a life in wide open spaces and big skies. (also has narrow eyes so as to not let evil spirits in... see the movie)
End monologue here.

Owning a wall is an aspiration, I suppose...
