Description
Of all the places we visited when were on holiday in the mid-north coast last week, the one that struck us all the most was Dark Point Aboriginal Place. This is a wild bit of coastline with a series of massive dunes marching south - we liked it so much that we went twice. On the day we took this it was 42º and every other sensible person in the region was either in an air-conditioned room or vehicle, or in the ocean. The heat added to the experience though and it felt more like walking in the desert than dunes. The figure in this photo is my son Josh who wanted to see what was on the other side and discovered that it was more dune, followed by some dune and then a bit more dune.
