Proving that growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. As a mature 26 old who just got done doing taxes and getting his tax return, I will now use that mony to spend on legos ponies and plan a trip trotcon this year. lol

I don't know, Pintresty types and supermoms like to get into bento without knowing much about Japan, and American kids tend to lo~ve hot dogs. (....Even knowing how they're made, and being a rather good cook, I still like hot dogs...heh.)

Ah, my dear. . .EVERYBODY loves hot dogs!!! Including VEGANS!!!!
Why do you think Tofu Dogs Exist!? . . .as an omnivore myself, Tofu Dogs aren't half bad. . .
but I still have a preferance for those "Chimera meat tubes" made of an amalgamation of random animals and animal parts more than anything.
As for Bentos. . . technically, any type of food packed in a "Box" for later consuption within that day counts as a "Bento". Even Sandwiches packed into a neat and orderly box count as a "Bento"
. . . . . .
. . .
I miss eating bentos from japanese convenience stores. . . I miss them bad. . .

I'd say Elliott knows something about the animes. He's seen one or two in his day.
Also, believe it or not, there are some people in the US who make octopus hot dogs! It's not super common, but also not unheard of. Pro tip, if you're making macaroni you can boil them in the same pot as the noodles.

Please forgive me. I live in TEXAS and you might have a good idea on how things go in this very bizzare part of the United States. . .and as a guy who grew up in Japan (and my birthright as an American citizen), I do have my share of preconceived notions on how things works in the US.
Also, I see your Pro tip and raise you another. . .
If you stir fry cabbage, onion, lunch meat (usually ham) and carrots with butter, boil some ramen noodles just to soften them up and add the softened noodles to the stir fried cabbage, onion, meat (optional) and carrots with some Soy sauce, you've got Yakisoba.
This recipe was brought to you by homesickness.
