Description Yoda

In the city of Kamakura, which is south of Tokyo, I visited the Annual Festival at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine Mikoshi. During this time, portable shrines are carried and horseback archery performed before spectators. On the Ritual Dance Stage inside the precincts, Japanese dancing is performed. Also, the Shinko Festival takes place with a trio of portable shrines and procession of divine horses.

on Red Pagoda at the Heian Jingu. I am pleased you like traditional Japanese buildings. [link]

on Red Dancer. This young Japanese girl apparently is very enthusiastic about showing off her kimono, her hair, her poise and composure. She happily posed for anyone who indicated an interest in taking her photograph. [link]

on Nikko Home and Bamboo Fence. I was taking a day long walk in Nikko and heading towards the [link] Philosopher's Walk when I came upon this ultra beautiful modern Japanese home oozing tranquility. [link]

on Kegon No Taki It's a strange love/hate relationship people have with these beautiful falls where so many have committed suicide to protest arranged marriages. [link]

Paint him green and yep he would be Yoda. I bet Yoda would wear a kimono and hakama, but that should not surprise anyone seeing as Lucas admittedly -borrowed- from Japanese dress to help create the look and feel for the Jedi. I love the colors in this photo, and the expression on the old gentleman's face. He is going somewhere, and not necessarily where his feet are leading him . . .

Yes. Lucas borrowed from the Japanese. I have a photo from inside Matsumoto's castle. It is of a warrior's uniform which has a Darth Vader type of helmet. I am contemplating uploading it. It's not exactly a great photo, but it certainly puts the Vader costume in context.
