I've just got a new lens wich I've tested and it works great! (Canon 50mm f/1,4 USM)This is kind of a spontaneous portrait of my cousin, but I think it turned out ok. I used photoshop to correct light, sharpness and colors, though the lens produces great photograph's, so I don't always need photoshop
.I'm a newbie on portraits, and I really want to start taking more photos in that category. I guess my only problem is to find models ( I'm kind of shy
(Please give me help and qritiqe if there's something that should be better!)

I think it turned out great.
I mostly take portraits, and this one is awsome, just my kind. I really like the lighting, it really illuminates his faceand adds tons to the picture.
I know what you mean about finding models, seems as if no one wants their picture taken!!! I say their loss. practice on people you know, and your cousin looks like a great subject, until you gain enough confidence to go out there...

well it's really hard from the start to ask people to pose for u. well, there are people who really likes to act in front of the camera! ask ur friends first!

Heh, to overcome my shyness, I'm busy collecting photos of people with afros. I randomly walk up to them and ask them for a photo of their afro. Some of them think it's funny, others say no, others are irretated, others start asking questions on this random act of mine, others want me to take even more photos... It used to work, but lately I'm getting quite shy again to ask people...but I'll get over it. I might make a artwork out of it when I have enough pictures.
On your photo..I love the focus and the lighting.
